The Indian tourist visa is a type of non-immigrant visa that allows individuals to enter India for business or tourism purposes. The visa processing process typically includes the following steps:
- Application: The first step is to complete the online visa application form and pay the required visa fee.
- Supporting Documents: Collect all required documents including passport, photograph, proof of residence, and financial statements as evidence of sufficient funds to cover expenses while in India.
- Appointment: Schedule an appointment at the nearest Indian embassy or consulate for an in-person interview.
- Interview: Attend the scheduled visa interview and present the required documents. The consular officer will ask questions about the purpose of the trip and the applicant's background
- Processing: After the interview, the visa application will be processed. The processing time can vary depending on the workload of the consulate.
- Decision: The consulate will inform the applicant of the decision on their visa application. If the visa is approved, the applicant will need to pay a visa issuance fee and then the passport will be delivered with the visa stamped.
It is important to note that the Indian visa process is subject to change, and the specific requirements and
processing times may vary depending on the applicant's individual circumstances and the Indian consulate
where the application is being submitted
