Swadeshi Mela 2024- Eligibility Criteria

Manufacturers / Wholesalers:
Entities engaged in the production or wholesale distribution of Indian handcrafts,
handlooms, tribal-made GI products, forest produce, and millets are eligible to
participate.
The products should align with the foundation's mission of promoting traditional
craftsmanship and supporting marginalized communities.


International Retailers:
Retailers operating globally and interested in showcasing and retailing Indian
handcrafted items, handlooms, and other relevant products are welcome to
participate.
Emphasis will be given to retailers committed to ethical sourcing and promoting
sustainable and fair trade practices.


International Distributors:
Companies specializing in the distribution of Indian handicrafts and related
products on an international scale are eligible to participate.
Demonstrated expertise in connecting Indian artisans with global markets will be
considered favorably.


International Artisans:
Artisans from around the world, particularly those interested in collaborations or
showcasing their craftsmanship alongside Indian artisans, are encouraged to apply.
The focus is on fostering cultural exchange and collaboration between artisans
from different regions.


Local Native Artisans:
Indigenous artisans and craftspeople from India, especially those from tribal
communities, are eligible to showcase their traditional products.
The foundation aims to provide a platform for local artisans to gain exposure and
access international markets.

International Service Industries (IT, Hospitality, Shipping, etc.):

Service industries related to IT, hospitality, shipping, and other relevant sectors
that support the trade and export of handicrafts are eligible.
Companies offering services that facilitate international trade and collaboration
are encouraged to participate.


Government Organizations:
Government bodies and agencies involved in promoting trade, handicrafts, and
cultural exchange are eligible to be part of the trade fair.
Collaboration with government organizations will contribute to the overall
success of the event.


Cultural Musical Bands:
Musical bands with a cultural focus, especially those promoting traditional Indian
music, are eligible to participate.
The inclusion of cultural performances enhances the overall experience of the
trade fair.


USA Based Companies:
Companies based in the USA with an interest in promoting Indian handicrafts and
fostering trade relations between the two countries are invited to participate.
Collaboration between Indian and US companies is a key aspect of the trade fair.


NGO:
Non-governmental organizations with a focus on supporting marginalized
communities, handicrafts, and sustainable development are eligible.
NGOs actively involved in empowering tribal people, disabled individuals, and
women-led small-scale businesses are encouraged to participate.


Business Chambers:
Business chambers and associations dedicated to promoting international trade
and cultural exchange are eligible to participate.
Collaboration with business chambers enhances networking opportunities and
promotes the overarching goals of the foundation.
